The project involves the addition of a rooftop mechanical room and the expansion of a roof top platform to support two generators and a platform above the existing penthouse roof level to support three chillers. The mechanical room will be added between existing roof level penthouses. UPS equipment and Power Distribution Units (PDU) will be added to the fourth floor. A Unistrut grid will be added to the fourth floor, suspended from the fifth-floor

The existing building is an eight-story cast in place reinforced concrete building. The mechanical room floor, roof framing, and mechanical platform framing will be structural steel.

There will be a new jib crane mounted above the existing roof level and a new trolley crane installed at the east penthouse to facilitate equipment and material hoisting from the alley.
